CFAR Awardee Dr. Namandje Bumpus to present Dean’s Research Integrity Lecture 2/17

From the Johns Hopkins Division of Research Integrity:

"Please attend the fifth lecture in our 2015-2016 series on Research Integrity on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at 3:30 p.m. in the Wood Basic Science Building Auditorium (and simulcast to the Pulmonary Conference Room at Bayview). The topic will be “Research Integrity: The Importance of Mentor/Mentee Relationships,” presented by Namandje Bumpus, Ph.D., Associate Dean for Institutional and Student Equity and Associate Professor of Medicine. Dr. Bumpus will explore these important subjects:

  • providing constructive feedback that encourages growth and development;
  • receiving feedback;
  • identifying areas for growth;
  • crafting a mentoring plan;
  • focusing on progress; and
  • techniques for building trust.

This monthly lecture series is a core component of the Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) Program, which is administered by the Division of Research Integrity in the Office of Policy Coordination, the program ensures compliance with NIH and NSF guidelines. All individuals participating in research at the SOM are required to complete training in RCR. CME credit will be offered for this lecture."
