Johns Hopkins Professor Recognized for Leadership in Nation’s Response to HIV/AIDS

Dr. David Holtgrave, professor and chair of the department of health, behavior, and society at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, was recognized this week by the National Alliance of State and Territorial AIDS Directors (NASTAD) with their Partnership Award for his commitment and sustained leadership to strengthen the nation’s response to HIV/AIDS.

Dr. Holtgrave was presented with the award at the 2014 annual meeting of state health department HIV and hepatitis program leaders, which is held each May in Washington, DC. The Partnership Award was initiated in 2011 to recognize a person, organization, or coalition that has shown exemplary dedication to working with NASTAD at the national level to advance common goals and policies that impact HIV/AIDS.
