How do practitioners address power and privilege in health professional relationships? What strategies exist to center anti- oppression in holistic care? In light of World AIDS Day, SOURCE is partnering with the School of Nursing to highlight the intentional ways Sisters Together And Reaching (STAR) utilized anti-oppressive frameworks to care — which focus on helping service providers understand power and privilege especially in a health service relationship. These frameworks help shift the power dynamic in helping relationships and program design. For example:
• Structural Competence
• Harm Reduction
• Basic Needs Centering
• Trauma-Informed Care
• Transformative Justice
